Find Your Pot of Gold:
Best Pubs in Miami for St. Patrick’s Day

The Irish use this holiday to celebrate their heritage and St. Patrick – the guy known for converting the Irish to Christianity. St. Patrick spread the word of Christianity throughout Ireland, building cathedrals and schools and even using shamrocks to explain the Holy Trinity – the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That’s why shamrocks are a key symbol of this holiday.

While these are the historical origins of St. Patrick’s Day, once emigrants from Ireland moved to the United States, this holiday blossomed into the one we know and love to celebrate today. St. Patrick’s diligent work in spreading the word of God to the people of Ireland created a sense of nationalism and Irish pride that was brought over to the States and is still felt today.

Honor the Irish in the best way possible this St. Patrick’s Day: hopping from pub to pub throughout Miami!

John Martin’s Irish Pub and Restaurant

Address: 253 MIRACLE MILE, CORAL GABLES, FL 33134

How they Celebrate: Well, aren’t you in luck! John Martin’s has not one but TWO celebrations for St. Patrick’s Day this year. On Saturday, March 15th, head over to John Martin’s for their 32nd annual St. Patrick’s Street Festival from 2 pm until midnight. Enjoy this celebration filled with live music, good food, and games! But it doesn’t end there. On Monday, March 17th, when you buy a shot of Irish whiskey, you’ll be treated like a true Irish by getting a FREE blonde Guinness.

What to order: It’s no secret that the first thing you should order on St. Patrick’s Day is a pint, and, luckily, John Martin’s has no shortage of these. If you’re really in the mood to be transported to Ireland, look no further than their Irish Fan Favorites section on the menu. Order a classic Shepherd’s pie or Bangers and Mash with a Guinness on the side to get the full Irish experience.

To celebrate later in the day, check out their lunch menu featuring everything from fish and chips to their own Irish-American take on Shepherd’s pie. Of course, no St. Patrick’s Day would be complete without a drink, and lucky for you, they have happy hour Monday to Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Here, you can enjoy watching the party on the streets of Miami Beach in the comfort of a quaint Irish pub!

What to order: Finnegan’s Road does an excellent job of meshing Miami with Ireland, which is why their menu is so diverse. Order some fish and chips with some Cuban egg rolls to get that cultural fusion.
